October 8th, 2024//12 pm to 2 pm | As a Spiritual Director or Counselor, you have likely cared for individuals whose stories include traumatic events and wounding experiences that impact their thinking, behaviors, and attitudes towards self, others, and God. In these instances, the ability to integrate a trauma-focused model may make all the difference in the care you provide. This workshop presented by Dr. Sharon Siler, the Year 2 Coordinator of Healing Care Ministries’ Spiritual Formation - Spiritual Direction Program and a certified Thanatologist will discuss how Formational Care, an inner-healing model developed by Dr. Terry Wardle can be integrated into spiritual direction and counseling to care for persons challenged by unresolved trauma.
